Africa is a land of boundless opportunities—but seizing them demands expert insight. The challenge? Turning vision into reality. Too often, projects stall due to poor structuring, regulatory hurdles, and misaligned interests.
For decades, we’ve been the trusted advisor to governments, corporations, and investors – structuring complex deals, securing financing, and delivering tangible results.
Every project is unique. Every region is even more so. That’s why we take a bespoke approach—identifying high-potential ventures, structuring transactions to global standards, and driving them to financial close.
Because success isn’t just measured in transactions, it’s built on lasting partnerships.
What sets us apart isn’t just what we do. It’s the way we do it. At Capital of Africa, we bring a new mindset to doing business.
We engineer creative solutions. By challenging conventional approaches, we structure deals that are smarter, more efficient, and tailored to local realities, ensuring long-term value and sustainable success.
Real impact happens on the ground. Our hands-on, pragmatic approach ensures that we seize opportunities, navigate complexities, and execute with precision. Agile and results-driven, we deliver on time, without compromise.
Our independence allows us to prioritize what’s right over what’s convenient. Free from external influence, we put our clients' interests first, act with conviction, and uphold the highest standards of integrity.
With on-the-ground expertise, a proven track record, and exclusive access to an influential network, we unlock high-value opportunities and guide clients to the right markets, partners, and investments to thrive in Africa.
With more than 25 years of experience in corporate and investment banking and private equity, Khalil Chyat has built a reputation as a prominent figure in Africa’s financial landscape.
Khalil has played a pivotal role in structuring some of Africa’s most transformative deals—from large-scale infrastructure projects to complex cross-border M&A transactions.
After more than a decade with Credit Agricole Indosuez and Emerging Capital Partners (a US private equity firm), Khalil joined one of the largest pan-African banking groups, Bank of Africa Group (formerly BMCE Bank), as Africa Executive Director, where he spent a decade leading the group’s sub-Saharan operations, driving expansion and overseeing landmark initiatives.
Motivated by the need for a more agile, independent and innovative approach to structuring high-impact African projects, he founded Capital of Africa.
Today, Khalil continues to advise governments, sovereign entities, and institutional investors, structuring tailor-made financial solutions that support sustainable growth across the continent.
Khalil holds degrees from both:
